Federal Monitor - State Education Agency version

State education agencies are charged with monitoring the LEAs' compliance with the ESSA requirements, as well as compliance with any number of grants for which the state receives funding from the federal government. Each state determines appropriate ways to determine if schools are meeting the federal requirements. Federal Monitor allows states to create self-assessments for LEAs to perform for ESSA and other grants. The system also allows for uploading of any required documents to support an LEA's response. The state agency can use Federal Monitor to perform either onsite or desk monitoring, or a combination of both. Utilizing our system can free up staff time and resources, as well as instantly keep track of open corrective actions and have automated reminders of those open actions sent to both LEAs and state staff.

Utilizing the system can also help states target technical assistance by having the system generate the top items for which LEA's are found non-compliant. The system can also automatically generate letters and, if needed, email them to the districts to remove all back-and-forth paper flow and allow for more efficient communication.

Federal Monitor is customized to your state's needs. Our team typically spends several days gathering requirements in order to identify your needs and from that process, Leader generates prototype screens that demonstate how the system will operate. Once approved, those screens become the working specification for the system.

Federal Monitor is a secure, web-based, data capture and reporting and management tool that is modeled around the specific needs of your state. Contact Leader to find out more or to schedule a demonstation.
